$1m+ Car Auction Ending Today- read all about it

The Daily Vroom

Happy Friday Vroomers,

I'm keeping the midnight oil lit tonight, working hard to make sure today's newsletter lands in your inboxes at the crack of dawn. All I’m seeing online is some mention of ‘threads’ as the new cool place to hang out. Me, I’m not sure. . I much prefer to hang in those 1980 built car forums, that’s where the cool kids hang out.

Back to the real important business, yesterday was an absolutely bustling day brimming with sales across more than 10 diverse platforms. It leaves me astounded how the smaller ones keep up, but my cap is tipped to them for their relentless tenacity in this congested marketplace.

MARKET LEADERBOARD

Allow me to paint you a vivid picture of yesterday's top five car-selling platforms, ladies and gents! Yours truly was absolutely astounded. And here's the kicker – platforms 2 through 5 combined couldn't even match the sales volume of our reigning champ, Bring A Trailer. Yesterday, they were truly on fire , with a jaw-dropping 92 car sales in a single day.

This one-day spree pulled in a cool $4.5m ! Now, let's just imagine if these folks could keep up this pace every day… we'd be looking at an astronomical $1.64 billion a year. Yep, you heard it right, billion with a "B"!!!

For the second day in a row, our second in command, Cars & Bids, knocked out over 30 sales . I can't help but wonder, will they now throw a tantrum if they don't hit 30+ every day? Obviously, having enough cars to sell will be key to their victory lap , given they've proven they can move 'large' volumes daily. Yesterday, they had 38 listings. Today? 39. Stay tuned, folks . I'll be back on Monday with the latest scoop on their weekly listings and everyone else's.

A bit of a curveball ⚾, but welcome Hemmings to the leaderboard! Typically, I don't give any platform the time of day unless they're selling a minimum of 10 cars daily . But due to popular demand (you all are such inquisitive souls! ), I'm throwing in the towel and showing how this 'next best' site stacks up. Now, don't get it twisted – Hemmings isn't always the runner-up. They're jockeying for position with a whole gang of other sites in this 'minor league'. Stay tuned to see how this race pans out! ️

FERRARI CATCH UP

Do you recall the nostalgic trip down memory lane we took yesterday in this post? ️ That's right, we were marveling at the sleek and elegant 1967 Ferrari 330 GTC ️ that was up for grabs. We were all biting our nails, wondering where the gavel would finally fall, especially since this model hadn't graced the online sales platforms for two years.

Well, folks, fasten your seat belts because the final number is in! As you can see from the updated chart , this vintage beauty crossed the finish line at a cool $678,001, marking an uphill climb for this model. Can we expect this trend to put the pedal to the metal for future sales? Only time will tell. But don't you worry, I'll be right here, keeping you in the loop. Stay tuned!

TOP 3 SALES YESTERDAY

Here's a tidbit that'll tickle your funny bone, folks! Guess what the top 3 sales were yesterday? Drum roll, please… Two Ferraris and one Porsche! And here's the real kicker – it was the exact same combo the day before! Has the online car auction universe hit a glitch? Or maybe it's just Groundhog Day in car land!
