TOP 3 SALES OF THE DAY

LAND ROVER DEFENDER

Ah, the Land Rover Defender. Few vehicles capture the imagination quite like this iconic beast. From the moment I first laid eyes on one, I was utterly captivated. Its rugged charm, unwavering resilience, and timeless design make it a quintessential symbol of adventure and exploration.

Each iteration of the Defender tells a story of its time. The early Series models were rugged and no-nonsense, true workhorses that were more at home in the fields and forests than on paved roads. They were a testament to the post-war era that birthed them, simple yet incredibly durable. I adore these for their raw, utilitarian charm.

Then came the Defender 90 and 110 models in the 80s and 90s. With their improved refinement and expanded capabilities, they managed to blend the rural appeal of the original with a newfound urbanity. Yet, in their quest for modernization, some models, in my opinion, lost a bit of the Defender's raw edge – the 1993 Defender 110 NAS, for instance, felt a tad too polished for my tastes.

The Defender TD5, with its robust diesel engine and improved off-road prowess, marked a return to the Defender's roots. I feel this model truly hit the mark, embodying the Defender's spirit of adventure.

Fast forward to today, and we have the new generation Defender. It's sleek, packed with technology, and incredibly capable. It's a Defender reimagined for the 21st century. While some purists might bemoan the loss of simplicity, I can't help but admire how Land Rover has evolved the Defender while keeping its adventurous spirit intact.

Whether it's a vintage Series model, a beloved 90s version, the robust TD5, or the cutting-edge new generation, every Defender has a special place in my heart. Each model brings something unique to the table, contributing to the rich tapestry that is the Defender's legacy. Here's to many more years of this remarkable vehicle capturing our collective automotive imagination!

I've delved into the Defender sales data for June and July, and uncovered some intriguing insights and patterns that I believe you'll find captivating.

When it comes to assessing the performance of a market, I believe in taking a holistic view rather than focusing on isolated data points. That's why I'm to sharing with you the top 10 sales from the month of June & July, giving us a broader perspective on the market trends and standout transactions.

To truly grasp the trajectory of price trends, a visual representation through graphs is most effective. Considering the global distribution of sales, I've split the data into two graphs for clearer analysis – one focusing on the US market, and the other encompassing the rest of the world, predominantly Europe and the UK

1984 Land Rover 90 – Highest sale in UK $71,000
