YESTERDAY’S SALES

When looking at the above table, there's not much that surprises me, as these numbers are quite predictable on a daily basis. However, I'm eagerly waiting for other sites to make their mark and join this leaderboard. I’m rooting for you all!
By the way, today Hemmings has 13 listings, and they'll be hoping to secure a spot on the leaderboard once again. PCarMarket is also in the race with 9 auctions ending today. On the other hand, Hagerty, though yet to make a significant breakthrough into the market, has just two auctions ending today. If you want to explore all the listings available on each platform, you can refer to my post from Monday, which you can find here.

JUNE SALES ANALYSED
Thank you to all who participated in yesterday's voting to determine the trends and insights you wanted to see. Today, I am excited to share some key observations from the sales data for the month of June.
As a side note, it's important to mention that the car count we have considered only includes cars sold during the actual auction. It's worth noting that many websites make extra efforts to ensure that unsold cars find buyers even after the auction has ended.
Get ready for some charts

Before delving into the detailed analysis, let's start with some significant overall numbers from the sales data for the month of June. These figures provide a broad overview of the sales performance during that period.
The average price of the cars sold was $42,478.71.
The most expensive car sold for $2,500,000.00, a ‘67 Porsche 910.

Ever wondered what is the most popular day of the week for cars sold? Here’s the answer for June and surprisingly it’s Friday!

Let’s dig a little deeper and see which models sold the best.

Now that we've established that the Porsche 911 was the top-selling make in June, it's time to take a deep dive into some unique and exclusive information that you won't find anywhere else.
Let's begin by exploring the top 5 years of manufacture for the Porsche 911 models sold in June. Among these sales, the years 1996 and 2002 emerged as the most popular choices. This insight gives us a glimpse into the preferences of buyers and sheds light on the enduring appeal of these particular model years.

Moving on to the average prices for the top selling years of the Porsche 911, it's fascinating to note that the 1996 model stands out from the rest. With a significant lead, the average price for the 1996 Porsche 911 surpasses that of other years.

Now, for the least surprising statistic of all – the most popular transmission type for the Porsche 911. As expected, the overwhelming majority of buyers opted for the manual transmission, reaffirming the timeless allure of the Porsche 911 driving experience.
While I initially considered breaking down the transmission preferences further by platform, it turns out that PCarMarket was the only site where automatic transmissions outsold manuals. This insight highlights the unique buying behavior of PCarMarket's clientele, who might have different preferences or requirements when it comes to transmission choices.

Here's an intriguing statistic that may surprise you! While we previously observed that Friday was the day with the highest overall vehicle sales, it turns out that Sundays take the lead when it comes to selling Porsche 911s. Yes, you heard it right!
