Top Selling Ferrari’s & 3 Cars You Don’t Wanna Miss…

The Daily Vroom

Happy Thursday Vroomers,

Engaging with folks about the car industry never ceases to amaze me. Predictably, my favorite ice-breaker question is, "Where do you buy and sell your cars?" Intriguingly, a whopping 30% of the time, people draw a blank when it comes to most of the platforms showcased right here on The Daily Vroom. Now, isn't that a thought-provoker? Does it highlight an untapped market potential, or is it a commentary on the marketing effectiveness of these companies?

Here’s what I’ve got for you today…

WEBSITE VISITORS

Ever had a hunch about how many people are scrolling the top auction sites each month?

Let's skip the guessing game. Here's the scoop on how many folks each site attracted in May.

As a benchmark Motortrend.com has 15m visitors last month.

Here’s my take on it:

The non-surprise is that Bring A Trailer is nearly double it’s nearest competitor with 8 million visitors last month.

The surprise to me is that CollectingCars.com only had 750,000 visitors but sold 375 cars. Compare that to Hemmings.com who nearly 5 million visitors but sold only 95 cars.

That shows firstly that Hemmings are doing an awful job at marketing themselves (read this post i wrote about them) and secondly that Collecting Cars are definitely punching above their weight re-traffic. I wonder what their sales would like if they had 2 million visitors??

YESTERDAY’S SALES

I asked you to vote what information means the most to you in regards to sales. Here’s how you voted.

That being said, today I’m giving you what 90% of you requested and showing you below the number of cars sold and the sell-through rate. You speak and I listen

June 28th

Other platforms including PCarMarket, Hemmings, and the like, unfortunately, couldn't break the threshold of 3 car sales, hence their absence from our analysis.

The UK platforms, Collecting Cars and Car & Classic, had a considerable number of listings, but their conversion to sales fell short. In contrast, Bring A Trailer excelled with over 100 cars listed and an impressive 80% sell-through rate.

JUNE’S TOP SELLING FERRARI’S

️ Vroomers, gear up for a thrilling ride! We're peeling back the curtain on the top ten Ferraris sold this month. From the vintage charm of a '58 Ellena Coupe to the contemporary beast, the 2021 F8 Tributo. Hold on tight as we explore these Italian stallions in the fast lane of the auction world.

Ready, set, let's go!

 1958 Ferrari 250 GT Ellena Coupe: $493,000

You're looking at the top dog here – a classic Ferrari 250 GT from the late '50s. The Ellena Coupe not only encapsulates the allure of the brand but also offers a rare glimpse into Ferrari's history. The price tag? A cool $493K. You've got to pay to play in the world of classic Ferraris, but the fun is priceless. My 2 cents? Totally worth it. It's a rolling piece of art!

 1996 Ferrari F512 M: $453,018

This '96 Ferrari F512 M truly embodies the spirit of the '90s supercar scene. The F512 M is the final incarnation of the Testarossa lineage, and man, did they nail it. Selling for over $450K, this beauty is a statement on wheels. My take? A great pick for the nostalgic collector who has a soft spot for pop-up headlights.

 2004 Ferrari 575M Maranello 6-Speed: $410,000

The 575M Maranello is an absolute icon. A front-engined V12 powerhouse, this 2004 model sold for $410K. As for my two cents? Can you put a price on the joy of shifting through a 6-speed gated manual in a V12 Ferrari? I think not!

 2021 Ferrari F8 Tributo: $362,500

Just a year old and it's already turning heads in the auction scene. The F8 Tributo is Ferrari's homage to its most powerful V8 ever. And for $362.5K, you get to own a piece of that history. From my perspective? A modern legend in the making!

✨ 1998 Ferrari F355 GTS 6-Speed: $307,000 ✨

Ah, the F355 GTS. A '90s poster car and arguably one of the best sounding V8s from Ferrari. The combination of its iconic design and that 6-speed gearbox has undoubtedly influenced its $307K price. My opinion? Money well spent for an unforgettable soundtrack.

 2018 Ferrari 488 Spider: $301,000

With the roof down and the wind in your hair, this 2018 Ferrari 488 Spider sold for $301K. It's not just a car; it's an experience. As for my opinion? Pure exhilaration that's worth every penny.

 2008 Ferrari F430 Spider: $301,000

The F430 Spider matches the 488 Spider's price at $301K. But it offers a different vibe. It's a nostalgic nod to simpler times in Ferrari's evolution. My verdict? A fantastic experience of open-top V8 goodness.

 2016 Ferrari F12BERLINETTA: $299,000

Here we have the F12BERLINETTA. A front-engine, V12 grand tourer that screams through the rev range. Sold for $299K, it's a beast that tugs at the heartstrings of any enthusiast. My thoughts? It's a fantastic GT that delivers both on performance and elegance.

2017 Ferrari 488 GTB: $275,000

The 488 GTB, the closed-top sibling of the 488 Spider, found a new home for $275K. It's a masterclass in mid-engine V8 performance from Ferrari. My take? Simply put, it's a joy to drive and a joy to to look at. The balance, the raw power, and the uncompromising Italian style – it's the kind of ride that makes every trip feel like a victory lap. The buyer definitely got a taste of the true Ferrari spirit with this deal!

Last but certainly not least, we have the 1994 Ferrari 512 TR, making the cut with a selling price of $265,715.

This red-hot beast is a throwback to the ‘90s era of flashy supercars, a time when Miami Vice vibes were the talk of the town. I'm always a sucker for the old-school charm of the Testarossa evolution series, and this one's no different. The 512 TR really embodies that classic Ferrari essence, don't you think? It's got the signature roar, the dramatic side strakes, and that undeniably aggressive stance. This model might've been at the end of our list, but in terms of charisma, it's definitely up there with the best!

AUCTIONS ENDING TODAY TO WATCH

Below are three hand-picked auctions that I’ll certainly be watching today (unfortunately not bidding on). If I had to pick my favorite, which is hard and kind of easy at the same time, I’ll go for the Supra.

Why you ask?

Well.. It’s an iconic '90s sports car, reimagined with staggering horsepower, a 6-speed manual transmission, and a slew of performance-enhancing modifications that make it a jaw-dropping street machine. Who wouldn’t what that??

Underneath each picture you will see the name of the car. If you click on the name it will take you directly to the auction.
